AutoFxK UPDATED – v0.6d now available
Hi folks, I’ve added more currency pairs to the Charts list in AutoFxK’s Settings. So now, you can choose any 6 pairs from the list of majors/minors/crosses that are supported by Forex Killer.Just remember, whichever 6 you choose, they have to be listed in that order in your MetaTrader platform. See the suggestion at the end of this post…
By the way, I also added a new shortcut to open the Settings page and that’s Alt+C
All the other shortcuts remain the same. For simplified instructions on validating and setting up AutoFxK, PLEASE read the previous post below. Before contacting me about any issues related to AutoFxK, kindly go through the Instruction Manual as well as the videos on this blog.

A SUGGESTION : Over the past 3 months, I’ve received quite a few requests to add more currency pairs in AutoFxK. I finally caved in to popular demand. As stated above, you can now set AutoFxK to automatically trade on any 6 pairs that are supported by Forex Killer. But please remember, you are still limited to choosing the first 6 pairs that show up on the New Charts list in your MetaTrader. Here’s how you can work around this limitation:
First of all, make a mental list of the 6 pairs that you wish to trade on and order them according to your preference or priority. Next, go to your MetaTrader and look for the Market Watch section on the left hand side of the charts. Usually, you will have the majors listed at the top of the Market Watch list. But you can actually rearrange that list by manually dragging and dropping the pairs you want. 
For example, imagine your Market Watch List looks like this with EUR/USD at the top. But let’s say you want EUR/GBP to be at the top of the list instead. Just click the EUR/GBP line, drag and drop it at the top! Easy as pie!!
Like this, you can rearrange the first 6 pairs that you’d like to trade on. And once you’re done with this rearrangment, you can get into AutoFxK’s Settings and specify the same top 6 pairs that you just love so much!

AutoFxK v0.6c
AutoFxK v0.6c is now available to all Forex Killer users. If you are a Forex Killer customer, you should’ve received an email with a link to download AutoFxK as a free bonus. It’d be best to contact Forex Killer support for the same, especially if you don’t have the updated version 4.12 of Forex Killer.

Simplified Instructions: When you first run AutoFxK, you will have to enter your name and email address to complete the validation procedure. Check your email and copy & paste the key into the validation box. Once the validation process is complete, you have to setup AutoFxK first. Make sure the Settings are to your taste (especially make sure that the path to Forex Killer is specified correctly under the General tab). If you have got the latest updated version of Forex Killer (the updated 4.12), then make sure you choose v4.12 under the General tab otherwise choose v3.
Once that’s done, you will have to test out AutoFxK. Make sure you have your Metatrader and Forex Killer opened up before you do this. Use the test shortcuts such as Alt+0 & Ctrl+0 (that’s zero not the letter O) to calibrate the mouse offsets. With Alt+0, the mouse cursor should reach close to the center of the New Chart button on your MetaTrader’s toolbar. If it doesn’t, go back into Settings->Offsets and adjust the X & Y offsets until you finally get it right. IMPORTANT: ONCE YOU HAVE ADJUSTED THE X&Y SLIDERS AND IF ALT+0 WORKS WELL, THEN DO NOT ADJUST THE SLIDERS AGAIN AFTER THAT.
After Alt+0, test Ctrl+0. The cursor should reach the Chart Timeframe dropdown box in ForexKiller. If you see that the Forex Killer child window is too high or too low, then YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY ADJUST THE ADDITIONAL Y OFFSET FOR FOREX KILLER at the bottom of the Offset tab in AutoFxK’s Settings. I repeat, DO NOT ADJUST THE X & Y SLIDERS!
After the mouse calibration is done, all the other test shortcuts should work smoothly. Test Alt+5, Ctrl+5 and Alt+Ctrl+5. Once you’re satisfied, ONLY THEN should you use Alt+Tilde and Alt+Shift+Tilde.
If AutoFxK acts funny, then use Alt+S to stop AutoFxK or Alt+Esc , which will force it to terminate or exit immediately.

UPDATE: This note is for those of you who’re getting the error “Cannot obtain signal data”. This error means that you are not using the latest Forex Killer. Please contact Forex Killer support to get the updated 4.12 version of Forex Killer. The version number of the updated ForexKiller remains the same (v4.12) but it has an additional function that allows AutoFxK to read the required data directly from ForexKiller. In the meantime, until you receive the updated version, please choose version 3 (under General tab) in AutoFxK. The automater should work properly as long as the “Delay between each action” is set to anything between 150 to 300 millisecs.
Also, some of you Vista users may receive the “Fatal COM error”. In case you get this error, please leave a comment here with your details such as name, email address, etc. and I shall get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi folks! I see there’s been a rush to download and install AutoFxK. For those of you who have been appreciative, I thank you deeply you for your compliments. Sometimes that’s all a programmer needs to keep him inspired. For everyone else, please understand that I’m doing what I can to support your issues and that I’m doing it for free.
Alright, now for the announcement: I will be releasing an improved version of AutoFxK that should reduce the common errors that some of you have been experiencing with AutoFxK0.5c. You should hear from me by Sunday. I will place the download link here first, so that you can test it out initially. If things work out fine and the number of issues become reduced, I shall ensure that version 6 will be uploaded to the ForexKiller website for the benefit of all the other customers. So, in essence, you guys are gonna be the main testers for the upcoming version.

AutoFxK – new version for testing
This is an announcement regarding the latest version of AutoFxK. I’ve redesigned AutoFxK and given it a fresh new look, plus I’ve added quite a lot of new options as well. There is a simple Strategy feature which will only work with the latest version of Forex Killer. I’ve even added a Scheduler that’ll allow you to set your trading timings into AutoFxK as well.
If you’re really interested in testing out AutoFxK, plz post your details as requested in the previous post. Please ensure you include the version of Forex Killer you have (the exact version number can be obtained under the Help menu option in Forex Killer).
One point I must emphasize: I am only looking for individuals who are SERIOUS about testing my software and who are willing to give me constructive feedback that will help to improve this little gem. If you’re not really serious about this, then please don’t waste your time and especially mine. For those of you who genuinely contribute during this testing phase, your names will be included in the AutoFxK documentation. That is my way of giving my sincere thanks to you for your efforts and opinions.

Forex Funnel – All the way down again…
Guess what… Froma profit of +$57.93, Forex Funnel has successfully managed to drive my demo account all the way down to a loss of -$299.92. Need I say more?

Forex Funnel results – very small lots, small profits
Well my Forex Funnel results are in! And it totally confirms all that I’ve said about Forex Funnel before.
I restarted my Forex Funnel test on Oct 16th on a Mini demo account starting with a balance of $3000 and 0.1 lots per order (since it’s a Mini account, the effective lot size is 0.01). Ever since Oct 16th, Forex Funnel has pulled in a small profit of +$57.93. I feel like it’s a waste of time coz even if i test FF for an entire month, my profit will only be around $230 – $240. Does anyone think this is worth it? Right now, the closed trades are sitting at +127.07 and there are two current live trades that show -60.97 & -8.17.
Like I’ve stated before, if you follow the instructions wherein you trade only 0.01 lot sizes for every $2500, then your balance may remain safe but the returns will be quite low. Please read my previous posts regarding FF’s doubling strategy. In my case, I noticed that Forex Funnel had set up limit orders utilizing upto 6.4 lots. With a starting lot of 0.1, this means that Forex Funnel had doubled the lot size six times in a row! Let’s do a little math…
0.1 -> doubled = 0.2 -> doubled = 0.4 -> doubled = 0.8 -> doubled = 1.6 -> doubled = 3.2 -> doubled = 6.4
You notice that FF has doubled the lot size in 6 steps. So, the size of the largest order can be expressed with this formula:
Lot Size of the Largest Order = (Starting lot size) * 2 ^ steps
In this case, Largest lot size = 0.1 * 2^6 = 0.1 * 64 = 6.4 lots
The last order in a series is usually placed as a limit order and most often, it gets cancelled. But even though, it gets cancelled, the margin is still required until it cancellation. So, let’s consider this. For a mini account with 1:200 leverage, the margin required per 1 lot is $50… for 1:400 leverage, it would be $25. Let’s take 1:200. This means that for FF to reach the 6 step, margins would be required for each of the orders placed. So, let’s calculate the total margin required:
Total margin = (0.1 * $50) + (0.2 * $50) + (0.4 * $50) + (0.8 * $50) + (1.6 * $50) + (3.2 * $50) + (6.4 * 50)
= $5 + $10 + $20 + $40 + $80 + $160 + $320
= $635
Now that’s $635 just for the margin alone! What about the equity required to absorb the impacts of all those high and low peaks?! With a starting balance of $3000, you’re not gonna last long!! If you have a large balance, then yes, you will make profits with FF, but very gradually.
So, once again, I repeat myself: DO NOT TRADE FOREX FUNNEL ON LOW BALANCES !!!!

Forex Mafioso – refunded
After the appalling results I got from Forex Mafioso, I placed a refund request and it was honoured. If anyone has had good results with Forex Mafioso, I’d love to know… but i seriously doubt it.
I’ve cancelled Forex Mafioso in my List of Forex Bots & Expert Advisors. Nothing more to say about this bot. Looks like Mafioso was assassinated like all the other non-profitable bots out there. Rest in peace…
Forex Funnel – MARGIN CALLED
(EDIT: Oct 15th: I’ve calmed down a bit since yesterday :-) ) The demo account on which I had Forex Funnel running since Sept 19th has dropped to a balance of $45.98 ! I started it with a balance of $3000 and this is what it’s come down to. Just guess what the final P/L shows….
-$2954.02 !!!
Can you believe that?! Just imagine if i had run Forex Funnel on a live account. I shudder to think of it! People on the Net may assume that this bot is a gift from heaven but i beg to differ. Once again, I retiterate the same point I made in one of my previous posts about Forex Funnel. BEWARE: this bot is NOT meant for smaller trading accounts!

While Forex Funnel’s been butchering my demo account, I decided to jump into the pit with THREE other forex programs. The ones I’m testing out right now are:
1. Forex Killer: Created by the same folks from ForexAutoPilot. Forex Killer is based on Neural Networks (Artificial Intelligence). So far, it seems to do well in predicting trends BUT IT IS NOT AN AUTOMATIC EA. That means, you can’t load it within MetaTrader. Simply stated, it’s a standalone program that you have to use side-by-side with your MetaTrader platform. There’s a lot of manual interaction required but the results look promising so far. If you’re planning to buy this software, I’ve been working on something that you’ll find to be a very useful bonus to use alongside Forex Killer. PLEASE READ THE NOTICE AT THE END OF THIS POST.
2. Forex Mafioso: FM is an EA similar to Forex Funnel. The results are barely ok so far… this one makes almost as many losing trades as its profitable ones.
3. Forex Auto Cash: The developers of this EA claim that it never had a losing trade for NINE YEARS! Ok, so the marketing hype was pretty catchy. The funny thing is that on the very day I bought the EA, it made a horrible losing trade (and the developers try to explain this by saying that it’s the first losing trade EVER made by the bot and the probability of it happening again is very slim… dude, we know a little about Probability Theory as well). Ever since that losing trade, this bot doesn’t seem to put in much trading action. Now I know how this bot managed to never have a losing trade in 9 years… it would’ve hardly placed any trades at all! LOL!!!

What a dismal performance from Forex Funnel yesterday! And today’s trades are not looking any better. I’m SOOO glad i’m just playing around with virtual money. Forex Funnel live trades - Oct 1st,'08
Forex Funnel… here we go!
Ok, I bought Forex Funnel on Sunday, installed it in less than a minute and began testing it since yesterday. I used my regular demo account (NOT a mini or micro a/c) with an initial balance of just $3000 at a leverage of 1:200. I went against the guidelines stated in the FF manual and set the bot to trade with 0.1 lots initially instead of 0.01. So far, I’ve managed to make a total profit of +$525.95 on my regular Demo account

Note: the first trade for a profit of $200 was placed by yours truly, so I’m not considering that trade as part of FF’s performance
Please remember… I started my Forex Funnel test with 0.1 lots which is NOT recommended by the creators of this bot. Am tellin’ ya upfront, this bot will slowly but surely give you profits… but please be advised that it does so using a common gambling strategy. Things you should know about Forex Funnel:
- It only trades the USD/JPY pair
- Uses a combination of market orders and limit orders to pull in profits… if the current trade does not turn profitable, another order will be placed with double the lot size of the previous order.
- You need to have a LARGE deposit or balance to use this bot… and I’ll explain why below
You see, the documentation that comes along with FF itself suggests that you start with 0.01 lots for every $2500 of equity (yeah, you read that right) 0.01 lots!!! That too, for a deposit of $2500! By the time, I make any substantial profits, two things could happen… a) I’ll be one year older b) I could still lose my deposit in the meantime.
Here’s how FF works… it first analyses the current trend and places a market order with the minimum lot size (in my case, this was set to 0.1). Hopefully, the trade goes well… the good thing is that FF at least uses Stop Losses, unlike FAP. If the trade doesn’t pan out, FF analyzes the trend again and places another order for the prevailing trend with DOUBLE the lot size of the previous order.
For ex, if you take a look at the second & third order in my Statement sheet, you’ll notice that it placed a Sell order of 0.1 lots @ 106.06 (with Take Profit @ 105.71) followed by a Sell Limit order of 0.2 lots @ 106.31 (T/P @ 106.11). If the first trade goes well, then the Limit Order is cancelled… otherwise, the Limit Order will sooner or later be activated. If that order doesn’t work out either due to a not-so-predictable trend, the FF bot will again place ANOTHER trade with DOUBLE the lot size of the previous order. So, from 0.1 lots, it could progress to 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.6, etc… This doubling strategy WILL give you profits PROVIDED you have a balance large enough to soften the blow of 5 to 7 losing trades in a row.
So far, in my case, FF has only placed trades upto 0.8 lots. I shudder to think what would happen if it ever reaches 3.2 or 6.4 lots. Let’s say FF has opened one losing trade after the other… If it opens consequtively doubled orders upto with 6.4 lots, the total number of lots used would be 0.1 + 0.2 + 0.4 + 0.8 + 1.6 + 3.2 + 6.4 = 12.7 lots in TOTAL. Believe me, with a starting balance of $3000, you could easily lose your deposit by 7th losing trade… OR …the bot would NOT be able to place another trade with double the lot size coz a majority of your equity could be locked up in the margin required for the 6 simultaneous live trades.
I hope you get my drift. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good bot… but you need to start with a VERY SMALL lot size and a VERY LARGE deposit/balance. And you need a WHOLE lotta patience (which i dont have) in order to rake in tidy profits. If my analysis of this bot seems incorrect to you in any way, I’d love to hear your side of it.. so feel free to comment here.

Intro to FX bots & EAs
For those of you who are probably just as ignorant as I was a couple of weeks ago, here’s a brief summary about Forex robots (or bots, for short) & Expert Advisors (EA):
- A Forex Bot or Expert Advisor is a software or script that has been designed primarily for the purpose of analysing the forex market in order to automatically place trades which it projects to be profitable according to the trends calculated by the underlying algorithm.
- Most Bots/EAs are based on algorithms that have been curve-fitted to prior Forex market readings, which is why most of them will perform extremely well when back-tested… but the true test for a bot is when it can predict and handle sudden swings or extremely short-term trends.
- The best Bots/EAs work on the MetaTrader platform (currently MT4), so if you’re gonna purchase any of these EAs, make sure your online Forex broker uses MetaTrader (what an awesome piece of software.. God bless the developers of MT!!!). Take a look below:
